Sayamprabha
Ensuring the quality of life of elders is always a concern to all of us. ESSS adopted the concept of Self Help Group to mobilize and strengthen elders in its jurisdiction. Sayamprabha (Elder’s Self Help Groups) are instrumental in providing psycho social support to senior citizens above 60 years of age. By means of this, ESSS aims to promote sustainable livelihood, provide credit linkages, advocate and protect the rights of elders. At present 178 Sayamprabha Groups are functional at ESSS.

Hope and Help
Hope and Help programme was launched in 1986 with Support of Rehaswiss, to help the differently abled to start some income generation programme and thereby lead a normal life. For this ESSS is engaged in mobilizing and capacitating differently abled persons to lead a dignified and independent life. Till now ESSS is able to provide credit support to 5,000 differently abled persons to start livelihood programmes.

Social Mainstreaming of Spinsters
Spinsters programme is strategically developed to strengthen unmarried women between the age group of 35 – 50 to provide an essential degree of exposure along with skill training, and is equipping them with a popular platform to become self-reliant.

Empowerment of Widows
Losing a husband or partner is a painful experience. Further for majority of women, being a widow can be the beginning of an array of problems and challenges including providing for family. Hence, the programme is aimed at empowering widows through social mobilization, capacity building and promoting sustainable livelihood programmes.
