Community Mediation Center is an initiative of the High Court of Kerala. It has been conceived as a project for giving effect to Section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure which provides for Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism. It subsidiary wing is functional at ESSS to help resolve social, interpersonal/relational, community or family disputes that do not involve an arrestable offence. Mediation sessions are conducted by the panel of community mediators who are volunteers and respected members of society.
